“Is There Anybody Alive Out There?” One Good Question

Rocker Bruce Springsteen was just awarded the grammy for best rock song of 2007 with his tune "Radio Nowhere" which features the lyric "Is there anybody alive out there?" I thought that this was an interesting question to ask in relation to the price of gas and other atrocities that many people don't protest.
