Confidence in Our Stock Market and the Social Contract
John Reizner writes just as our democratic society relies on a somewhat unseen social contract between the players to continue peacefully, the confidence in our stock market maintains the latter's integrity. The last two instances when the system failed economically were during the Great Depression of the 1930's and the inflationary 1970's.
